The no sugar thing didn't work. I lost 2lbs in two weeks which is frustrating and really not worth all that effort. David's sister has convinced me to try the Zone diet. She's been on it for as long as I've known her and even used it to lose baby weight from both of her pregnancies. I was supposed to start it on Monday, but faltered a little. Periods and diets don't seem to mix very well.

Everybody's body works different. I think. Sorry about the frustration.

The Zone diet is a diet created by Dr. Barry Sears. It's a balance of healthy carbs, healthy fats, and lean proteins proportioned for your body type and fitness. It's really common sense eating. You eat a meal every five hours with a snack in between. I (and most women) can have 27 grams of carbs, 21 grams of protein, and 4.5 grams of fat per meal and 1/3 of that for each snack. They have all the information on the website www.zonediet.com.

Don't be sorry. At least I know I can give up all forms of sugar and not die. :)
