Why is this so fun?

I love this blog. Reading where everybody is on their journey makes my day. I did not do any exercise yesterday. My big plans to go to the gym were foiled by frantic phone calls to a man about a house in OK. Alas, that's not going to work out, and I didn't work out either.

On a side note, I did plop my rear in front of the television and watch the Biggest Loser, which was fun and awfully inspirational.

I'm sorry the house didn't work out. Something will give.
I love The biggest Loser! It is very motivation for me. Just knowing that people like me can do it gives me faith. I only watched the first hour because I wanted to stick to my bed time. I Tivo'ed the other and will watch it tonight.

I get kind of frustrated watching The Biggest Loser because it seems the people are doing extreme dieting/exercising--I mean, hello. Twenty-five pounds in ten days? That just doesn't seem right. Their skin has got to look pretty stretched out, and their hearts have gotta be messed up--their bodies don't even have time to handle the stress of losing that much weight.

At the same time, it is inspiring. The look on those people's faces when they are on the scale--and they do it with hard work, not just liposuctioning it away. They are all pushing each other to do well; it's very cool.

Yeah, I wondered about the 25 pounds, and attributed it to water weight, and maybe they have never, ever moved before.

Yeah, water weight is definitely part of it. It seems easier to lose large amounts when you have large amounts to lose, too. The closer you get to the goal, the harder it is to lose fat.

And yeah, I'm sure exercising four hours a day would definitely shock their bodies into losing fast.

The biggest loser actually made me cry last night. The mom who lost 78 pounds was so inspiring and encouraging to me. I won't do it that fast, Kristen, but I wanna do it.

You CAN do it! I believe in you, and we are all here to support you.

(I teared up a little, too, especially when the son came home from Iraq--the look on his dad's face.)
